There’s a certain Slant of light
by Emily Dickinson
There’s a certain Slant of light,
Winter Afternoons –
That oppresses, like the Heft
Of Cathedral Tunes –
Heavenly Hurt, it gives us –
We can find no scar,
But internal difference –
Where the Meanings, are –
None may teach it – Any –
‘Tis the seal Despair –
An imperial affliction
Sent us of the Air –
When it comes, the Landscape listens –
Shadows – hold their breath –
When it goes, ’tis like the Distance
On the look of Death –
I love this, and Emily Dickinson 🙂

Beautiful picture along the poetry! Is it a HDR image?

Thanks Indah. It’s a single image HDR through Lightroom and Efex Pro.

Maverick, I stared and I stared at this image, just soaking this very different landscape from anything I have ever seen. Incredible editing here too. I truly enjoyed this and the poem as well. Thank you. Love, Amy

I’m really pouring my Heart into editing them, Maverick. I also am finding images from the time after I lost all my photographs that are just stunning, in the way I captured and framed the image. Much good does come out of pain. It really does. Thank you for your compliment. It means so much to me. Love, Amy
